Covered
- Mainline stoppages that can be cleared through an existing access or without excavation
- The septic tank will be pumped once during the contract coverage term if the stoppage is due to septic backup
- Sewage ejector pump for the septic system only
Not Covered
- Broken and collapsed sewer lines outside of the foundation
- Chemical treatment of the septic tank and/or sewer lines
- Disposal of waste
- Stoppages or roots that prevent the effective use of any externally applied sever machine cable
- Cost of finding or gaining access to the septic tank or sewer hook-ups
- Tanks
- Leach lines
- Cesspool
- Any mechanical pumps or systems

Yes, our members can purchase Additional Coverage for septic pumps which covers mainline stoppages that can be cleared through an existing access or without excavation and the sewer ejector pump. The septic tank will be pumped once during your contract term if the stoppage is due to septic backup. To see specifically what is covered and not covered, please view the Septic Pump Coverage page.
Septic Pump Coverage runs concurrently with your annual home warranty plan. When your home warranty plan expires, so does the Additional Coverage, but it can be renewed upon expiration.
You can purchase the Spetic Pump Coverage when you purchase your home warranty plan, within the first 60 days of your plan being active, or during the open renewal period when your contract expires.
Once your coverage begins (30 days after you purchase your new home warranty plan) you can request service 24/7 online or call 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.

Great service for homeowners! If you have a ton of cash ready for any home system that may fail at any moment then you are good. If you are like the other 90% of homeowners who don't, then do yourself a favor and protect your investment with an AHS home warranty. Seriously, a new HVAC in California costs over $4K. I paid $100. A new stove last year was $400, but I paid $75. It's in my budget and I don't think twice. AHS always takes great care of me.

I used AHS for the first time and what an easy process. I booked a service appointment online, paid the $100 service fee, and the repairman fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. Our "trusted" AC tune up guys told us our unit was leaking refrigerant and needed a new coil unit.
